The $77.7 million Tentative Budget for 2018 is an increase of 3.5%, the overall tax levy of 2.3% is below the NYS Tax Cap, and tax rates increase by less than 1.5%. The 2018 Budget increases the budgets for law enforcement and public safety by 6%, increases funding for programs for the elderly and transportation, and proposes $2 million for the Community Housing Opportunity Fund to support affordable housing.
