SOUTH FORK COMMUTER CONNECTION BACK ON TRACK
The Long Island Rail Road is scheduled to conclude track work on November 10th in the East Hampton village area and the South Fork Commuter Connection train service will be back on track the following day.
Due to the track work, bus service has been provided east of the Southampton LIRR station since mid-October, but normal SFCC service and Hampton Hopper shuttle service from train stations in East Hampton to designated stops near workplaces will resume Monday, November 11th.
The South Fork Commuter Connection was launched in March to help workers get to and from South Fork destinations and avoid traffic delays. The service has grown three times in popularity since its inception.
The SFCC recently added an additional stop in Westhampton at 6:01 p.m. in response to commuter requests for an additional westbound stop.
